Kayaking Resource

Me and two of my friends were planning on going Kayaking in the Puget Sound in WA this summer but I am also looking at other options. We are all 16, 16, and 17 years old. I looked at ziplining but there is nothing like that in Washington State. Does anybody have any good ideas? I don’t really know all the extreme sports. Our budget is around 60-80 dollars. I am wondering if there are any ways I can prepare myself for summer kayaking by learning paddling techniques out of the water? And are there any instructional videos I could use?
