Winter kayaking on Upper klamath Lake and Upper klamath Wildlife Refuge

My friend and I are looking for an estuary, reserve or something very smooth and easy to go kayaking. I don’t know what’s good this time of year, if anything. We’re open to a tour and would have to rent kayaks either way.

I am wondering if there are any ways I can prepare myself for summer kayaking by learning paddling techniques out of the water? And are there any instructional videos I could use?
