I always though it would be fun to operate my Ham Radio station from a boat. After I’d read Jim W1PID’s web page a year or so ago about when he had operated from his kayak on Hermit Lake. So I put my IC703 in a dry bag and rigged up the Buddipole Vertical in my kayak. So who’s my contact no other than Jim/W1PID! Originally kayaks were made to be sailed or to be used on till, calm lake water. But with passing year use of kayaks in ocean kayaking is increased and now this ocean kayak is also very popular. Longer length of ocean kayaks increases their stability while sailing and keep them in straight line.
