Somewhere there is a 16mm film of the original. I have posted this in the hope that the owner of the original film will see this. If so, please tell me to take this off, and I hope you post the original. The world should remember these events in river running and the fight to save our wild river experiences. The historical footage gives you a view of whitewater kayaking in the early 80’s. The first descent was in the 70’s by Chris Spelius and Ken Lagergren. This resulted in the arrest of Ken and the escape of Chris. For a complete pod cast of the first descent see exchile.com

I’m interested in kayaking, but curious about how it’s done. Do you first paddle upstream and then back down to where you started or do you paddle downstream and then arrange for transportation back to your car?
