I always though it would be fun to operate my Ham Radio station from a boat. After I’d read Jim W1PID’s web page a year or so ago about when he had operated from his kayak on Hermit Lake. So I put my IC703 in a dry bag and rigged up the Buddipole Vertical in my kayak. So who’s my contact no other than Jim/W1PID! My latest inspiration was my friend Jean-Pierre Va2SG’s “Life is Too Short for QRO” video at: www.youtube.com
Quite fun !

Funny. I got a video titled “life is too short for QRO” hi.
Formidable five stars
Yet another awesome adventure! BTW, was the 703 actually decoding CW?
Neat stuff Steve. Was that radial bare wire or insulated? Wondering how the effect of the water had on the radial length or if just a copper sheet on the bottom of a kayak would be good enough coupling to the water? What is next? Aero mobile? Hang glider mobile? hi hi
Take care,
Mike
