Symetric wing paddles are what most people use? Based on what info does he say that? I don’t know anyone that uses a symetric paddle! Not sure about a couple of things this guy says.
Good information – as far as it goes. I use a Greenland-style myself. Probably there are more of us stick users than wing paddle users.
What! stop duping videos from voypics
Nice vid. You forgot the stick.
I am going to tell Freya, she will beet you up. LOL
I call one of the blades a Euro blade, just me.
symmetrical and non wing are two completly different paddles so you cant really combine the two into one type of paddle, and i doubt youll ever see anybody on a ww river with a wing paddle. Wings are used in racing as he explains in the vid and are designed to push through the water more efficiently. I think your mixing “wing” with asymmetrical, and then i agree with you cause nobody on rivers uses anything but asymmetrical.
Go SCM!
Great vid! Some inaccuracies (who uses symetrical or non-”wing” these days(?), especially in WW) but great information. I love how you explained the purpose of the paddle features.
