Spare Aire Extreme is a small container on lifejacket… do you have a better idea than that? I mean… a compressed gas duster from officemax would give you air cheaply… but that isn’t oxygen lol I dunno… ziplock bag? bite into it if u need air? rofl… Spare aire extreme is the best solution I found… especially if rafting and have no spray deck..

Ya but usually if you bail you can surface quickly unless your under a waterfall or a strong current pulling you under. But ye i wudn’t have tube trhough spray deck wud be too impractical i’d just have a small container on lifejacket. Just a suggestion lol

  7. gardogg65 says:

sure, but if you are stuck upside down in it and fail several attempts to roll it upright, you may choose to bail from it… I see people in kayak disaster videos do this all the time… particularly in holes at the base of waterfalls… another example would be getting pinned in the kayak under a rafting company raft (happened to a friend of mine) and you would then want to bail… so there are exceptions but I agree in most cases a tube going into your spray deck is adequate… MOST cases

bit hard to get seperated from kayak with spray deck on don’t you think?

  9. gardogg65 says:

If you get separated from your kayak that tube won’t do squat! I actually found a coke can sized emergency air canister with mouthpiece that you just suck on and the air comes out whenever u want. It comes with a neoprene vest u wear under your pfd that has a pocket this canister goes in with the mouthpiece sticking out facing up toward your face… you just bend your head down to bite onto it and breathe and it’s hands free. made for kayakers it’s called Spare Aire Extreme 1.1

haha yeh I agree doubt u’ll find it unless u type in oxygen tank or some thing lol u cud just have tube from your mouth going into ur spray deck if ur that worried there wud be plent of oxygen there.

they looked like racing boats for max speed

  12. gardogg65 says:

In some of these incidents, I can’t help but thinking an emergency 2-3 minute oxygen supply stored in the pfd or kayak would be SO welcome in time of panic… I can’t seem to find anything like this online though… do they exist?

  13. internerd93 says:

Half of these are hardly even wrecks at all. Some bad lines and blown rolls, but not much real carnage.

  14. internerd93 says:

@32SQUID not even close. Most of these wreck look worse than they feel.

that was the Green River race. There are different classes. Some of them are long and old for a reason! Most were getting jacked up at Go Left and Gorilla.

There are some really stupid comments on this vid, I’m assuming most of them come from desk jockeys who have never questioned the status quo or pushed their limits more than the number of calories they can intake in a day.
