I’m planning on buying a wavesport Z river kayak just to use for surf kayaking in the sea and i wanted to know if it would be a appropriate kayak to get.

I’m not familar with the boat but 8 guys on Paddling, net gave it rave reviews for whitewater and river wave surfing if you want to read them.

Seems to be a boat that is best for big and tall guys, over 210 pounds — sloppy fit for a medium to small person. Also it seems more designed for white-water and playing in river surf and holes than ocean surf. I think you’d have difficulty paddling back out to catch a wave and also riding straight in on the waves with such a flat, wide boat.
Here’s a pretty good buyer’s article on the types of kayaks that are best for surf.
